Mostly because Larry's name was in the tags for the previous blog, and I just copied and pasted them into this one. Besides, Larry calls himself a pastor.

Dear Dissident,

I notice you have "Larry Stockstill" in your tags and "Yeshua" in your articles, both of which interest me. However, why is Larry in your tags but no articles?

Peace unto you,

Because the club churches are filled mostly with decendents of christians and are unregenerate they are of the flesh. The flesh love to have men with degrees or charisma rule over them. They love the big buildings, powerpoint, gymnasiums, flashy choirs and music. Flesh loves to make traditions and ignore the commands on how to gather. The club members trusts in men like theologians, dead reformers and superstar speakers. When the choice between the Spirit and tradition, the club menber allways choices tradition!!!

Thanks so much, A! That is a very, very encouraging comment. I can only hope that others like us can grow up and realize that we were never intended to be spoon fed by a guy standing in front of an illustrious stage made for TV, but are fed by how we serve one another in Christ.

No church is perfect, and we may never see it done "right," but I can't imagine closing my eyes and going back to where I was.

Thanks again for your post!

God bless.

Thank you for posting !
For more then seven years my husband and I were looking for a fellowship
because people tell you, you must go to church... we always felt very uncomfortable about the big assemblies, the pastors, the lack of personal committment, the absence of the Spirit who is in both of us... but we were so unsure if we have the right to stay at home and have only few christian
brethren. When we left the third church, we felt like there is no more place to go and we decided to stop it. The following days we were amazingly guided by scripture verses, "incidents, friends speaking, etc.
We scrutinized the bible diligently and discovered on one Saturday all the
contents of your posts (and more). I am not so skilled to put it in good words, but we were sure, we finally got it. It was like a deliverance, like another baptism, like a new life for us. We are two( often three) and Jesus is really amongst us (and was never before in the churchservices). Now we are spiritually growing up, or how should I say...and enjoy abundant life in Christ, getting to know him, focussing on him
yours, A.
